I am Taylor Layne Roberts, and I am the Founder of Taylor's Layne Boutique! I jumped into this adventure just a few weeks after graduating college at Mizzou. I had the dream and goal of owning my own business, specifically, a boutique since I was 15-years-old. I began taking fashion and business classes in high school, and later majored in Textile and Apparel Management with a focus in Marketing and Merchandising. My first (enjoyable) job in High School was in retail, which is where my inner entrepreneur began to surface. I spent my first two years of college at the University of Alabama, when I moved back home to Columbia, MO, (also home to Mizzou) I immediately landed a new job at a small boutique in the heart of downtown. This is where I learned the ins and outs of a business! Fast forward 3 years of working at the boutique and graduating college… I moved to Kansas City, MO (currently here, and loving it). This is when and where I decided to pursue my dream! I dove in, full-speed, and haven’t looked back since.
When I’m not working on the website, shopping for new styles, or engaging on social media, I am either glued to my pup, Romeo, watching Netflix, or looking for something yummy to eat. Lol. I’m super new to KC still so I would love some suggestions on where/how to meet other lady friends like me! Also… where tf do I find a gym with group classes that won’t cost me one zillion dollars a month? I just want to stay fit… SOS.My favorite podcast, at the moment, is My Favorite Murderer, and I am currently obsessed with these Chicken Flautas from a local Mexican restaurant. My drink of choice is Pinot Grigio, with Michelob Ultra coming in second. New York style Pizza beats every other kind, and Coke is way better than Pepsi, but I prefer sweet tea ;). I LOVE to cook, but hate cleaning up after. I would choose the ocean over the mountains ANY day, and I would much rather fly than drive (I secretly love airports, hehe).
So, now you know a little bit about me! I hope you love my boutique as much as I do! If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions feel free to reach out to me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
